6/16/08: The Phillies offense, one of the most prolific in the National League in the past four years, drubbed the Cardinals on Friday 20-2. In the first inning they hit back-to-back-to-back home runs. It was the seventh time in franchise history it was done and the third time it involved Pat Burrell. Chase Utley started it, then Ryan Howard and Burrell finished it.
Here is Scott Franzke with the calls.
Our calls this week consist of not only play-by-play but also a tirade by Blue Jays GM J.P. Ricciardi regarding Adam Dunn.
Our first call is from the Tampa Bay Rays’ win over the Cubs last week, which resulted in a sweep in favor of the Rays, led by outfielder Carl Crawford. Here is his go-ahead and eventual game winning grand slam.
Our final call of the week is the rant from Jays GM J.P. Ricciardi about Adam Dunn.
